5 Star Inspections

The Emissions Repair Success Rating (ERSR) is mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, evaluates registered repair shops based on their repair performance. The ERSR identifies shops that have conducted successful repairs. It is intended to assist motorists in their search to obtain quality repairs from experienced repairers. Massachusetts recommends using registered repair shops since they employ repair technicians experienced in diagnosing and repairing emissions-related malfunctions. Registered repair technicians are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), trained by industry experts, and tested on their knowledge of emissions-related repairs.
